In the present era where there is high demand for impact from development interventions by partners, government  and even beneficiaries, project implementers must be the most challenged. They must brace for accountability after the project has come to an end, and clearly demonstrate that the aid/grant spending has been wisely invested in the intervention and has indeed contributed to credible impacts on the target beneficiaries.
Although it is usually the work of an external consultant, impact analysis conducted at the end of the project often requires an elaborate original design from the onset of the project, careful recruitment of a knowledgeable external consultant, keen supervision, dedicated evaluation process, thoughtful and objective impact estimation using robust techniques and a professional reporting art.
For these same reasons, the required skills for a successful implementation are somewhat advanced; the reason this training is offered.
